All through the winter, I beg JR to head down to Little Compton, Rhode Island to South Shore Beach, where this shot was taken. If you don't live right near the ocean, you might be compelled to believe that the beach shuts down for business during the winter. Not so. We have seen a surfing competition in February, windsurfers in April, and countless other people like us, just looking to take a walk on the beach in the hopes of prompting some summer memories in the middle of winter.
